The staff of the Werner J. and Gisella Levi Cahnman Preservation Laboratory preserve the collections of the Center's five partners.

  • Microfilm 100 books at the end of their shelf life
  • Digitize 425 pages of archival material
  • Purchase a year's worth of acid-free supplies for archival collections
  • Scan and microfilm 75 books for access through the website
  • Conserve items destined for an exhibit

  • Fund one Fellow for a semester
  • Catalog 850 books
  • Digitize 950 pages of archival material
  • Fund 3 Jewish music research forums
  • Fund radio frequency security system to protect books from theft with tags
  • Maintain and repair the unique and irreplaceable books in the reference collection

  • Conserve, clean and encapsulate 100 posters and broadside materials
  • Purchase a piano
  • Send 10 librarians and archivists to workshops to improve their knowledge and skills and keep up-to-date with advancement in their fields
  • Sponsor a series of Genealogy workshops

  • Fund the Monday night film series for one season
  • Support 2 issues of the Center's newsletter
  • Fund a fellow for one year
  • Fund the design/printing of the bimonthly calendar for a year
  • Underwrite a concert series at the Center
