New York Court Records. Selected Briefs (1674-1860, I-151), Naturalization Certificates (1816-1845, I-152), Insolvent Debtors Cases (1787-1861, I-153), and Incorporation Papers (1848-1920, I-154)

The New York Court Records consist of microfilm of records that currently reside in the New York City Hall of Records. The collections are copies of selected Briefs, Nationalization Certificates, Insolvent Debtors Cases, and Incorporation Papers (miscellaneous filings) ranging from the late 1600s to early 1900s that have Jewish sounding names.

Please note that the name indexing for this database was taken from handwritten entries, many of which were unclear. It is recommended that one search under various alternative spellings and possible incorrect letters of a name. For instance, one may wish to search for the last name Katzin as Kalzin or Kalzim.
